Aldi shoppers 'upset' over popular £4.99 Christmas Special Buy

Earlier this month, Aldi delighted shoppers after releasing a GIANT version of one of its most popular Christmas product.

The supermarket chain announced it would be selling 2m pigs in blankets - which are priced at £4.99.

But according to the ECHO, many shoppers have now taken to both Facebook and Twitter to share their disappointment after not being able to find the two metre-long pig in blanket at their local stores.

On Twitter, one user said: "My Aldi doesn't have the giant pig in blanket - very upset."

Another shared a meme and said: "What makes this even better is that me and my dad were hunting for the 2m long pig in blanket in Aldi yesterday and actually gutted when we couldn't find it!"

Over on Facebook, an image of the item was shared into a money-saving group and although again, there was much excitement, many said they had struggled to find it.

One Facebook user said: "They're still doing them then. Still no luck though."

A second tagged a friend and said: "We need to find it this year."

A third added: "I've not seen any the three times I've been."

However, there were some users who had managed to get hold of it and were quick to gloat, with one saying: "I got it on Friday!!"
