Aldi shoppers 'spit out their tea' over new brand of 'rude' sausages

A new Aldi product has had customers giggling this week after it's slightly unusual name.

The low-cost supermarket is known for releasing dupes of branded items, from crisps to body washes and everything inbetween.

However, as St-Patrick's Day approached, Aldi began to sell a range of sausages that imitated the popular low-calorie brand 'Heck', who are known for their distinctive packaging.

Going for a green coloured box, the supermarket had some customers "spitting out their tea", according to MyLondon, after they chose to call their brand 'Feck'.

Stocked in stores up and down the country, a host of people were surprised to see the interesting name splashed across the meat aisle, with others now hoping the item is not just a limited edition.

One customer said online that the sausages gave her a lockdown laugh, and added: "Omg I've just nearly spat my brew out"

Another said:"Seriously are these real? Please be real."

"I didn’t realise they were just for St Patrick’s Day...they want to lose that idea and put them on for fekkin good!" one added.

The sausages are actually the second item to catch shoppers eyes this week, after thousands of people queued outside stores to get their hands on a £39.99 garden heater.

Now sold out, images had appeared of huge lines waiting to get their hands on the cheap outdoor range, with many expecting to be using their garden for most of the spring/summer.

A description of the Aldi website reads: "Relaxing outside on a cool evening can sometimes be a bit chilly, so add this Gardenline 2000w Patio Heater to your patio set up this year for a relaxing ambience you won't want to miss out on.

"With 3 heat settings, a safety tip switch and a generous 1.9 metre cable (approx.), whether you are enjoying a cheeky glass of vino on a clear summer night, or reading a good book, this fabulous patio heater is sure to keep you warm and cosy."

Aldi's website says that the patio heater will be available again in the next couple of weeks, so keep your eyes peeled.
