Fans of the Aldi dupe soon took to the review section of the retailers website to share their views on the beauty essential. One wrote: "Fantastic price, fabulous cleanser comparable with Liz Earle. Recommend to all my friends". Another, giving a 5 star review exclaimed: "Far from a rip off. It’s the same as leading brand." They went to to explain: "Not a one for copies normally but this is identical to Liz Earle! Same lovely fragrance and takes all eye make up off. Such great value for money."

Other shoppers agreed on its likeness to the high end product. Another five star reviewer said: "Every bit as good as Liz Earle! I discovered this cleanser a few years ago after being a huge fan of Liz Earle’s Hot Cloth Cleanser and couldn’t believe how good it was, every bit as good in fact! I buy when I see it and order online to stock up. Try it, you won’t be disappointed."

"I bought this previously to try after using a more expensive similar product and found it to be as effective at the usual lower Aldi price", said another shopper.

Not everyone was convinced though. One disappointed shopper wrote: "Awful-Avoid if you have sensitive skin!!! This is just dreadful-nothing like Liz Earle. It’s cheap for a reason! Avoid unless you have skin left like a rhinoceros." Another agreed: "Reacted with my sensitive skin. Heard great things about this cleaners but it left my skin feeling tight and sensitised. I won't be using it again. Shame as I was really looking forward to using it".

The product is listed as being suitable for all skin types "including sensitive skin" and is dermatologically tested. Currently detailed on the Aldi website, the product is an online exclusive and not available in store.
