The cruelty free 'brightening toner' includes willow bark and turmeric extracts that are said to cleanse and nourish your skin. It works to remove the 'grime and dirt' and is suitable for sensitive skin.

Ingredients for the Pixi toner also include willow bark and turmeric extracts, making this product £8 cheaper than the original. The Aldi dupe is also bigger in terms of size at approximately 200ml.

Aldi shoppers have left a series of glowing reviews on the website, giving the tonic a star rating of 4.7 out of 5. Many praised the the tonic for 'smelling incredible' and 'leaving the skin soft'.

Among the reviews, one shopper said: "Can't say enough for Aldi toners. They last forever and you see such a big difference when you use them consistently. I stopped using them for a while and my skin got a real beating this winter! I love the acacia one, it's very moisturising and I sometimes lightly tap a cotton pad on my face after doing my make up. It melts everything together while nourishing your skin. The vitamin c one is also great for acne scars. Please don't ever discontinue them!"

A second shopper said: "I have used more expensive ones and the ingredients are the same as this but at a fraction of the price. I have bought a few once on sale as well."

A third review read: "The whole range of Aldi toners are superb. I used an app to compare the ingredients with another expensive well known brand and there is hardly any difference."

A fourth shopper said: "Great product, works well on my oily skin and keeps spots away." Shoppers can purchase the £1.99 toner online here.
