Budget supermarket Aldi has shoppers obsessed with its latest SpecialBuy item, which customers say is “Le Creuset style at a fraction of the cost”.
Aldi’s SpecialBuys often prove popular with shoppers, many of whom anxiously await Thursdays and Sundays to see what they’ll be able to get their hands on. Recently, SpecialBuy products have included everything from hanging egg chairs to hot tubs - but this time, it's the retailer’s Cast Iron Casserole Dishes that shoppers are loving.
The casserole dishes, which are available in pearl or sage, feature tough enamel coating and a non-stick finish. They are suitable for all hobs including induction and are oven safe up to 250°C. The dishes are priced at £29.99.

The popular Specialbuy racked up more than 100 five star reviews on the Aldi website, with a number of reviewers comparing the casserole dishes to premium French cookware manufacturer Le Creuset.
Aldi’s Pearl Cast Iron Casserole Dish is very similar in design to Le Creuset’s signature Cast Iron Round Casserole Dish, which is currently priced at £285 on the retailer’s website. Aldi’s dupe is around £255 cheaper than the designer version.
One Aldi reviewer said: “Heavy Cast Iron Casserole Dish. A good solid (heavy) pot, ideal for large casseroles on a long slow cook. Large capacity to enable batch cooking. Le Creuset style at a fraction of the cost.”
A second wrote: “Great pot. Good quality casserole pot, value for money compared to others available on the market. Strong, sturdy, good L capacity and looks nice!” A third added: “Excellent value. Great quality and value for money. It’s just as good as more expensive brands. Highly recommended.”
A fourth shopper said: “Beautiful, works very well. Bargain! This is a gorgeous colour. So great for £30!
