Budget supermarket Aldi has released a £5.99 aftershave that is being compared to designer brands Dior and Tom Ford.
Aldi’s Lacura Ferocious Eau De Toilette , which costs £5.99, has been described as “exactly like” to Dior’s Sauvage and Tom Ford’s Black Orchid.
With a 100ml bottle of Sauvage coming in at £75.60 at Boots and Black Orchid at £108, there’s definitely a bargain to be had if you’re looking for your favourite fragrance on a budget.

According to the Aldi website, the Lacura aftershave is “radically fresh, raw and noble” and is “inspired by wild open spaces, rocky landscapes and hot under the desert sun”.
Similarly, Dior’s Sauvage is described online as “raw and noble all at once”, while Tom Ford says Black Orchid is said to be “modern & timeless”.
Aldi’s Ferocious has racked up more than 30 five star reviews online, with many shoppers making the comparison to more expensive brands.
Among the reviews praising the fragrance, one person said: “Don’t hesitate to buy. Spells exactly like black orchid, lasts too.”
A second wrote: “Excellent value. I bought this for my husband but I opened it to smell it, it smells just like TF Black Orchid so I kept it for myself as I wear that fragrance anyway. It lasts all day so excellent value too.”
A third shopper added: “Exactly like sauvage. amazing dupe for my boyfs favourite aftershave. I'd bought him the designer parfum which obviously lasts longer as this is an EDT, but given that the original is 15× the price that's nothing to complain about, he can top up and wear it daily now if he likes.”
Another said: “Great smelling, terrific value. I like high quality toiletries and have bought £150 plus bottles by Tom Ford, Penhaligons, Acqua do Parma etc over the years as well as the cheaper Chanel, Boss, Comme des Garços, Joe Malone and Molton Brown but this is huge bang for buck.
“I’d happily have paid 10 times as much for fragrance like this in the past, but I’m shopping at Aldi from now on. Outstanding!”
