A new M&S product has hit shelves, and it's got thousands of shoppers talking.
From Tuesday 12 May, Marks and Spencer will be selling foot long eclairs in its supermarkets - and shoppers are feeling GIDDY.
Posting on Facebook, the NewFoodsUK page previewed the eclair, writing: "New M&S Our Best Ever Eclair! This MONSTER of an Eclair is nearly 7 inches long and it’s so thiccccck! These have 50% extra cream than current M&S Eclairs!
"They are also filled with a rich ganache and topped with Belgian chocolate fondant! These beauty’s are in store from tomorrow![sic]"
Thousands of shoppers rushed to comment under the post - making the eclair an instant viral hit.
"You can't beat m&s eclairs think these will be on my list to try also," said one person.
Another joked: "Plenty of girth too by the looks."
"Omg these look delish - if only I wasn’t trying to lose weight," said somebody else.
A fourth shopper wrote: "Can these be on a subscription delivery?"
Others couldn't help but poke fun at M&S, given the recent social media beef surrounding Aldi and Cuthbert the Caterpillar.
"Cant wait for Aldi's version!" joked one.
Another said: "Aldi - "Our even better!" Eclair."
"I think cuthbert the caterpillar needs a friend. “Eric the best ever eclair," said somebody else.
The Best Ever Eclair hits M&S stores on May 12, and is priced at £4.50.
