Shopping at Aldi can undoubtedly be an interesting experience. From digging out the 30% reduction stickers to spending half an hour browsing the Special Buys, there are some things that are unique to the supermarket.
Another thing you can always expect from an Aldi trip is a speedy checkout experience - as its employees are known for scanning things at the till in record time.
In fact, some people would go so far to describe the checkout process at Aldi as an 'Olympic sport', and I probably wouldn't argue with that.
However, there is a solution if you find it all a bit too quick, and it's a lot more simple than you'd expect, according to the Mirror.
In a conversation on a popular Facebook page, one woman revealed how she solves the problem.
"You can ask them to slow down, I do," she said. "They don’t mind. And never had a rude checkout operator either."
Well, who knew?
It looks like she isn't alone in this theory, as dozens of people rushed to back her up.
"I always ask the checkout workers at my local ALDI to slow down a bit, so I don’t get overwhelmed," agreed one social media user.
Somebody else said: "They always say yes and it’s always very pleasant, never had a problem."
Aldi has its reasons for its cashiers scanning things so quickly, though.
When asked about it, the supermarket explained that staff members are "encouraged" to be as efficient as possible, which helps to keep the prices low.
