A mum was stunned after a fellow Aldi shopper stepped in to pay for her £100 shop - all because she let him go ahead of her in the queue.
Helen, from Queensland, Australia, had been waiting for a long time in a line at the checkout.
When another one opened, she waved a man in front of her, thinking nothing of it.
But to her disbelief, after he paid for his own shopping he waited for her items to be scanned through, before offering to pay for the $187 (£100) total himself.
She said a post on an Aldi-related Facebook group: "Did my weekly shop today at my usual Aldi and there was a bit of a line and only one register open.

“When a second register opened, I motioned for the man in front of me in the other line to go first even though I was closer because he was there before me.
“Anyway, he hung around at the front after he had been served and when my groceries were finished being scanned, he stepped up and paid for them! It was $187 (£100).
“He said it was because I did a nice thing for him. I didn’t think anything of letting him go first because he was there before me.
"What he did for me was a lot nicer than what I did for him, I couldn't believe it."
She added the man told her he wanted to show his gratitude to her for being so kind.
The post was instantly shared among the group, with many urging others to carry out random acts of kindness and start a '"kindness pandemic".

Others shared their own stories of strangers stepping up to help, saying "kindness fuels kindness".
One woman said: "Someone did similar for me in a service station line paying for petrol once, I will never forget it and always pay it forward when I can."
"So wonderful to see they're still kind people in this world both of you deserve credit for your kindness," another added.
Someone else summed up the story and simply said: "So nice to read something positive for a change . Nice people do exist."
