Aldi shopper 'absolutely fuming' after spotting awkward typo in store

An Aldi shopper has gone viral after he spotted a hilarious mix-up in his local supermarket.

Posting on Twitter, one shopper shared a picture of a sign he'd spotted in store.

The sign showed off a price reduction on packs of Mini Sponge Tarts - which had been marked down from £7147.03 down to 79p. Talk about a bargain.

The shopper said: "Absolutely fuming at the sale in Aldi. That’s a huge discount, I spent £7000 on those last week."

The tweet has since gone viral, with many people in hysterics over the apparent mix-up.

Responding to the tweet, one shopper said: "That's a hell of a saving. Just off out to get some mini sponge tarts."

"That's what happens with prices when you try to use Bitcoin as currency," joked somebody else.

A third person said: "Hope you kept your £7147.03 receipt: you could buy the reduced tarts and get them refunded at the higher price."

"Absolute bargain," joked a fourth.

Aldi has also had its say on the reduction debacle.

The supermarket said: "We can confirm we are no longer accepting dogecoin."
