Aldi shares £4 hack for recreating a crispy KFC classic at home

With the UK on lockdown many fast-food chains have closed their doors.

To help customers missing their menu specials, many restaurants have been sharing their secret recipes while supermarkets have been selling fakeaways.

So far McDonald's has released its McMuffin recipe, while Greggs has uploaded a tutorial for its Steak Bake and Sausage, Bean and Cheese Melt.

If you're missing KFC, however, affordable supermarket Aldi has now revealed how you can recreate the restaurant's iconic Chicken Zinger Burger using just a few products from the store.

Included in the ingredients is the delicious Flamin’ Breaded Chicken Thigh Burger, which is in store now.

To recreate the infamous fried chicken favourite, first you’ll need Aldi’s crispy and tender Flamin’ Breaded Chicken Thigh Burger (£2.99, pack of 2), made using succulent chicken thigh fillets and encased in a Flamin' spicy crumb packed with plenty of "zing."

For those who can’t handle the heat, opt for the Buttermilk burger, coated in a golden buttermilk crumb.

Then sandwich between a Specially Selected Sesame Seeded Brioche Burger Bun (£0.89, pack of 4), and layer with chopped Romaine Lettuce and a generous lashing of Mayonnaise (69p, 500ml).
