No, this is not an early April fools joke, Nando’s really have run out of chicken at some of their branches, but fear not as budget supermarket Aldi has come to the rescue during this chicken disaster.
It seems it’s not just Nando’s who’ve disappointed foodies this week as KFC have warned Brits of food shortages after ‘weeks of disruption’, meaning popular menu items may be unavailable in some branches.
Thankfully, Aldi is one store we can always rely on, and shoppers will be delighted to hear that the supermarket has plenty of chicken to go around.
From lip-smackingly good Peri-Peri Chicken Bowls to a finger lickin' good selection of Southen Fried Chicken, customers can recreate favourite dishes inspired from KFC & Nando’s, at home for half the price.
Popcorn chicken lovers can savour Aldi’s moorish Roosters Southern Fried Poppin’ Chicken for just 85p - that’s less than a quarter of the price of KFC’s version, saving you £3.14.

Prefer a boneless feast? Aldi’s succulent Roosters Southern Fried Chicken Steaks in Breadcrumbs, just £1.25 for a pack of 4, will get shoppers clucking - especially when they realise they can recreate a Fillet Burger Meal for less than £1 per person.

Just add Village Bakery Seeded Burger Buns (85p for a pack of 6), Four Seasons Fries (65p) and a 2L of Vive Cola for 39p.
Can you handle the heat? Aldi’s Roosters Gastro Flamin’ Hot Chicken Thigh Burgers are spicy, tender and oh so delicious. Best of all? They're just £2.99 for a pack of two.
For shoppers who can’t get their hands on a cheeky Nando’s, Aldi has your chicken fix sorted with its fiery Peri-Peri Chicken Bowls. At just £2.69 for 380g, they are an incredible £13.21 cheaper than the much-loved restaurant chain.

Using succulent British chargrilled chicken marinated in a delicious garlic and chilli glaze, the mouth-watering butterfly chicken lies on a bed of spicy rice for a tastebud tingling flavour to savour.
The blissful bowl is finished with a side of corn-on-the-cob, red cabbage and carrot slaw served with a spicy peri-peri sauce that lives up to the hype - see, we told you Aldi have saved the day.

The restaurant chain, known for its spicy per-peri chicken, closed around 50 of its outlets this week, with many others having reduced opening hours, due to a lack of ingredients.
Nando's said the problem was mostly due to staff shortages with its suppliers.
It has since also cancelled some of its delivery options, saying many branches don't have enough ingredients to full meals.
But now Nando's says that all its restaurants should be open as normal from this weekend onwards.
