But one shopper, who was out on Black Friday, spotted what could be their German supermarket chain's worst ever bargain offer.
Posting a picture of a pile of McVitie's biscuits on Twitter, Spod1000 pointed out the offer - 1p off a £4 selection box of biscuits.
Now a selection box is a vital part of the Christmas celebration - and every penny counts, but crumbs, was it really worth it?
