Aldi's wine club is back and it wants to send you free bottles

Aldi is recruiting budding wine connoisseurs to join its wine club - which means free wine for successful applicants.

The supermarket will pick 30 members of the public to test out some of its award-winning wines.

Over the course of six weeks, wine club members will receive three bottles of Aldi wine free of charge, in exchange for honest reviews.

The tasters will also be sent tasting notes and expert tips to help them judge the wines.

The guides will include tips on assessing the aroma, flavours and body of the wine.

Those who are accepted to join the Aldi wine club panel will need to leave their reviews using the hashtag #AldiWineClub.

To apply, email wineclub@aldi.co.uk with your name, link to your Twitter account, proof of age, and 150 words explaining why you'd be a perfect Wine Club member.

Entries for the 24th Aldi Wine Club are open until Monday May 11 - you can see the full terms and conditions at aldi.co.uk/wines/about-our-wines/aldi-wine-club.

In addition to the wine club, the bargain supermarket brand has also launched a free online wine course that 'seeks to remove the snobbery from traditional wine tasting'.

There are six modules to work through on the Aldiploma course, covering everything from grape varieties, jargon, and food pairings.
