Aldi’s walking pad will boost your step count at home – and it’s less than £90

The supermarket’s specialbuy will keep your blood pumping - (Aldi)

Whether you’re struggling to find time to hit your step count goals, or you’re getting itchy feet while sitting at your desk, a walking pad could be a game-changer. If you’re looking for an entry-level option that won’t break the bank, Aldi’s budget-friendly walking pad costs less than £90.

While home gym equipment – think rowing machines and resistance bands – offers time-poor people a way to keep fit, walking pads are a convenient way to keep moving. Similar to a treadmill but designed for a slower pace, they allow users to reap a multitude of health benefits associated with walking as a low impact form of exercise.

An excellent health hack for desk workers, Aldi’s Reka walking pad (£89.99, Aldi.co.uk) can be placed beneath a standing desk, which is ideal for squeezing more activity into a work day while simultaneously getting your steps in.

Available in Aldi’s famously affordable ‘specialbuys’ middle aisle, the Reka walking pad is also far more accessible than many other models on the market. Whether you want to walk your way through your inbox or keep your blood pumping while watching the latest season of Euphoria, keep reading for all you need to know about Aldi’s walking pad.

Aldi Reka walking pad

If you’re finding that your days are largely sedentary, Aldi’s Reka walking pad could be well worth investing in as an easy way to up your footfall. While we haven't tested it ourselves here at IndyBest, the machine is said to be quiet, worth noting if you find noise distracting or annoying, and easy to store. You’ll be able to walk at a pace that suits you, as the walking pad speed can be adjusted. It features an LED display and it will, of course, let you go at your own pace, with adjustable speeds. It’s inexpensive at less than £90, and while we can’t attest to its quality, the supermarket buy comes with a 12-month warranty.

Aldi’s Reka walking pad is available in Aldi stores now, but we recommend checking online whether it’s in stock in one of your local stores.
