Aldi's 'secret' time when it reduces food prices by 50%

For many bargain hunters, there's nothing quite like finding a brilliant yellow sticker deal.

What's even better, though, is a red sticker - something only Aldi shoppers will be familiar with.

Sometimes Aldi reduces its food by up to 50%, meaning you can get a whole week's shopping for a snippet of its usual price - if you're lucky.

But when is the best time to get reduced food at the supermarket?

Many shoppers have reported finding items with 50% off labels at opening time - which is 7am for many stores across the UK.

It does vary from store to store, so you're best contacting your local branch if you want to find out the best time to go to get your hands on stickered items.

Speaking about the reduction hour, a spokesperson for Aldi said: "All items are reduced to 50 per cent of the recommend sales price before stores open on their best before or use by dates."

If you can drag yourself out of bed in the morning, it looks like it may well be worth it.
