Aldi's new homeware range looks practically identical to designer brand for almost £300 less

Budget supermarket Aldi has released a new homeware collection to stores today and some shoppers may recognise some of the items within the range.

This is because many look very similar to ones sold by a designer brand but for much less.

The range is part of Aldi's Special Buys and was released online earlier this week and while some items are only available through its website a selection of items will be arriving in stores today.

Items in the homeware collection include rugs, storage boxes, foot stools, lighting and more.

Shoppers could save up to £100 by opting to buy Aldi's version of selected items instead of choosing a designer brand.

For example, Aldi is selling its Kirkton House Faux Fur Rug for £9.99. It is available in a choice of three colours and looks almost identical to one sold by high street retailer Next for £70.

You can take a look at Next's version here.

The faux fur rug isn't the only designer-replica product in the range. Aldi is also selling a Cream Storage Trunk Set for £39.99. This proved so popular it completely sold out online almost immediately.

And, we're not surprised considering it is one of Aldi's biggest money-savers. We spotted an almost identical set on sale at Habitat for £85.

You can take a look at Habitat's version here.

Elsewhere in the range there is the Round Grey Short Faux Fur Stool priced at £14.99 which looks very similar to one we found on notonthehighstreetcom which is priced at £200.

In total customers could save £290.06 by opting for Aldi products rather than designer brands.

You can shop Aldi's full homeware range at your nearest Aldi store or online here. It's important to remember to follow all of Aldi's safety measures when shopping at its stores.

When in store a face covering must be worn unless you're exempt.
