Aldi's cruelty-free spider catcher could be just the trick as spider season hits

Summer's on the way out, which means spiders will be on the way into homes.

The eight-legged arachnids seek out warm and dry spaces to mate in late August and September.

To them, there are few more enticing spaces than a person's home, especially when rain is heavy.

While most spiders are perfectly harmless, that doesn't stop millions of people being petrified by them - although the thought of killing the creatures can be a bit too much.

Thankfully, Aldi now stocks an ethical spider catcher, which can be used to get rid of the creepy crawlies, without subjecting them to a violent death.

Aldi's cruelty-free spider catcher (Aldi)

The 68cm plastic rod allows you to stand two feet away from spiders, or reach up to high spaces without having to reach for a stool.

And the soft brush scoops up the spiders, without harming them.

The catcher  costs £7.99 online at Aldi.
