Aldi's busy times, when to avoid and when stores are quietest

As we finish the eighth week of lockdown, it's hard to remember when we didn’t have to remember a set of rules before visiting a supermarket.

With safety measures still in place, there are often queues outside supermarkets so shoppers can adhere to a social distance of two metres.

Despite many retailers reducing their opening hours to ensure shelves were stocked and stores were clean when lockdown began, things are slowly going back to normal.

In recent weeks, retailers have extended their hours to give shoppers more time instore, but this doesn’t mean things are less busy.

There are still times in the day which shoppers are advised to avoid as it is so busy - and queues are more likely.

Aldi has provided a list of its busiest times at its stores on its website, which customers can use to decide when it is best to visit.

You can find your nearest store here .

According to its website, Aldi says the busiest time of the day is first thing in the morning and is asking shoppers to visit later on in the day instead.

According to Aldi this is what shoppers can expect when visiting at the following times:

  • 8am to 10am - quite busy
  • Late morning - busiest part of the day
  • Midday to mid afternoon - quieter
  • 7pm to 10pm - quietest part of the day

According to the Google data we looked at Sunday afternoons are when stores also tend to be busy, between around 2pm and 3pm.
