Aldi's 95p 'identical dupe' of Vaseline Cocoa Butter hailed by beauty guru

One of the latest skincare dupes from Aldi has been a hit with a skincare enthusiast who has hailed it as better than a major brand.

The budget supermarket chain's Lacura brand is a hit with beauty fans everywhere, thanks to its wide range of affordable products that promise to deliver high quality results.

And it looks like the retailer has another winner on its hands in its Lacura Pure Body Lotion with Cocoa Butter, with the luxurious lotion being compared to one from Vaseline - with savings of a fiver.

Scott McGlynn, host of Celebrity Skin Talk, recently took to Instagram to test out both Cocoa Butter products and he was quickly left stunned at the quality of Aldi's much cheaper product.

For comparison, the Lacura 'dupe' will only set you back 95p for a 400ml bottle, while a 400ml bottle of Vaseline Cocoa Butter is currently priced at £5.99 on the Boots website.

Sharing a video to Instagram, Scott told his followers: "Today, I am doing a dupe video for you guys. I've seen a lot of people talking about it. So, I have to try it for myself and do a video to share with you guys.

"We have the Vaseline Cocoa Butter worth £5.99 versus the Aldi version of the Cocoa Butter and this was 95 pence."

The beauty guru then went on to explain that "they pretty much smell exactly the same", although he did find that Aldi's lotion was not as thick as the Vaseline lotion.

Scott then applied a bit of each lotion onto both his arms and went about his daily routine. After a few hours, the expert was left stunned at the similarities and even urged others to save themselves £5 by purchasing the Aldi 'dupe'.

Speaking to the Daily Record, Scott said: "My overall thoughts on the products I found the Aldi Cocoa butter went a lot further apply. I didn’t need too much product which was great, and the smell lasted longer than the Vaseline one.

"Years ago I used to use the Vaseline one, but now the price has gone way up to £5.99 - I remember paying £2 or £3 for it.

"For both bottles being 400ml, and using less product from the Aldi one, I just highly recommend for 95p, you can’t go wrong."

The 95p Lacura Pure Body Lotion with Cocoa Butter does not look to be available online, however you can check your local store for stock availability.
