Aldi recalls British Breaded Chicken Steaks while Sainsbury's recalls Tomato & Basil soup

Aldi and Sainsbury's are both recalling a product today because they pose a possible health risk to consumers.

The two supermarkets have been found to be selling products that have been incorrectly packaged with misinformation on the labelling, according to the Food Standards Agency.

Aldi is recalling Ashfield Farm British Breaded Chicken Steaks while Sainbury's is recalling their Tomato & Basil Soup.

The chicken steaks contain milk, which is not mentioned on the label, therefore the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

They have been incorrectly packaged with Breaded Chicken Kievs, which do contain milk.

The soup is being recalled because some products may contain wheat (gluten), which is not mentioned on the label.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to wheat or gluten.

Customers are advised to not eat the above products if they have a related allergy or intolerance, and instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
