Aldi recalls batches of popular pesto product over safety fears

Aldi have recalled batches of a popular pesto product over safety fears.

Cucina brand Red and Green pesto 190g jars are the subject of the recall.

A Food Safety Authority of Ireland alert has been issued over the products, which may contain traces of peanut, which is not declared on the packaging.

An FSAI spokesman said: "Aldi is recalling these products as they may contain traces of peanut which is not declared.

"Do not consume these products if you have an allergy to peanut."
