Aldi opens new store in Dublin which will create 25 new jobs in the area

Aldi unveiled its new Bayside store in Dublin which will create 25 new jobs in the area.

Located at Bayside Square, the new store is Aldi’s 24th store in Dublin and 147th in Ireland.

The new store includes 153 car park spaces and ten bicycle rack stands.

The shop floor spans an impressive 1,364m² with wide aisles and boasts hi-spec fixtures and fittings.

Speaking at the store opening, Katarina Domorakova, Aldi Bayside store manager, has said: “Our new Bayside store is fantastic news for local shoppers!

“The spacious design means it is easier for customers to pick up what they need, and our aim is to ensure the very best customer shopping experience.”

Aldi is looking to expand its workforce in Dublin this year and is recruiting 278 new employees including 146 permanent positions.

The discount supermarket has made multiple efforts to show its support to the local community and, its stores have donated over 260,000 meals to local charities through FoodCloud.

Each store is also part of Aldi’s Community Grants network, which sees charities such as DSPCA, National Rehabilitation Hospital, and Sonas availing of €500 bursary grants in recent years.

Aldi has also spent €145 million supporting 75 food and drink producers across Dublin in 2020.
