Aldi offers Love Island's Lucinda job as it jokes 'she moves fast'

Aldi has taken a savage swipe at Love Island's Lucinda as it joked "we need her on the checkouts - she moves fast."

The 21-year-old from Brighton was left heartbroken after her partner Brad McClelland gave up his place in the villa so she could continue her journey there.

The following night and morning after his departure, Lucinda was seen crying as she spoke of how much she missed him - even wearing a black hoodie around, reports Daily Star.

But then, Lucinda moved onto Aaron Francis, despite telling Brad she didn't fancy anyone else in the villa.

The move seemed to strike a chord with supermarket chain Aldi as they delivered a brutal putdown.

It wrote: "We need to get Lucinda on checkouts because she moves FAST #LoveIsland."

Aldi Stores UK shared the comment with its 578k followers and sparked a social media frenzy with fans cracking up.

One reposted the quote with a note above saying: "Lmfao Lucinda only wanted a PrettyLittleThing brand deal... now she's getting an Aldi one lucky girl."

The shopping business jokingly replied: "Some would say the real prize of the show."

A second person commented: "Savage from Aldi."

"Get this person a pay rise PLEASE," said a third.

Someone else put: "Another great tweet from the Aldi social media team."

When Brad, who has been in the villa from the beginning, volunteered to leave as it would be a good "opportunity" for Lucinda, fellow islander Faye Winter was furious.

Quick to react to Brad's comment she said: "You don't come in here for opportunities, you come into find someone you love and she ain't gonna find someone who loves her like that."
