With a scorching heatwave and blue skies in Scotland, summer is well and truly on its way.
Now there is great news for those who love to cool down with a sweet treat in hot weather.
Budget supermarket Aldi has announced it is selling two delicious flavours from an iconic Scottish ice-cream makers.
Hamilton-based Equi’s will now supply Scottish Double Cream with Madagascan Vanilla and Scottish Isles Sea Salt and Caramel to the supermarket giant.
Made from the highest quality ingredients, both deliver an indulgent taste and will be sold under the Aldi Specially Selected label.
Equi’s was opened as a cafe in 1914 by Pietro Equi who was inspired by the gelato of his Italian roots.
Now, more than 90 years on it's still owned by the same family and the ice cream brand is now a household name in the west of Scotland.
The multi-award-winning Scottish Isles sea salt salt is made from natural ingredients from the pure waters of Loch Snizort.
The salt, which is the first to be made on the Isle of Skye for 300 years, is the only sea salt in the UK made by using just the sun and the wind , delivering a unique flavour .
Meanwhile, the the Madagascan Vanilla is made with ingredients sourced from Lanarkshire dairy farms .

Priced at only £1.99 per 500ml, both flavours available to purchase at all of Aldi’s 91 Scottish stores.
