Aldi must have item saw over 87,000 queuing online in the early hours

Have you ever wanted something so badly that you were willing to queue the entire morning for it?

Nearly 90,000 people felt that way about the famous Aldi egg chair as a new drop went live in the early hours today (Sunday, April 4).

Manchester Evening News report that over 87,000 Aldi shoppers found themselves in an online queue to get their hands on one of the wicker basket chairs, which retails for £149.

They were snapped up quickly by eager shoppers, which comes as no surprise given the products history.

Last time they went on sale, Aldi was forced to pause the queuing system, after over 84,000 people found themselves waiting.

A message on the Aldi website read: "You’re in the queue...

"We’re very sorry, but there are currently lots of people trying to access the Aldi website.

"We’ve automatically placed you in a queue.

"Don’t worry about refreshing - this page will update automatically as soon as you can enter the site."

Aldi appeared to credit the popularity of its site with the new products, adding: "Sorry for your wait, our website is extremely busy at this time.

"Our Garden Furniture is extremely popular but more stock will be added over the coming weeks."
