Aldi lifts restrictions on more products today and shares update on payments in store

Earlier this week Aldi announced it had lifted its four-limit restriction across all products in store and was instead only implemented rationing on certain products.

It comes as supermarkets across the nation put limits on what shoppers can buy to stop stockpiling and to ensure there are enough essentials for everyone.

From today, however, Aldi's limits will no longer include beers, wines and spirits or nappies, as restrictions on these products have now been lifted.

The restrictions will now be as follows, but are subject to change soon.

Supermarket food boxes available to buy online

Four per customer

Antibacterial wipes

Hand wash and soap

Shower gel

Bleach

Toilet tissue, kitchen towel, tissues

Pasta

Canned tomatoes, canned beans and sausages

Part baked bread

Two per customer

Antibacterial hand gel

UHT milk

Baby formula

From Monday, Aldi's contactless card limits will also increase to £45 per transaction to allow more customers to pay without cash or contact with payment terminals.

It comes after the store announced it would be donating almost half a million Easter Eggs to vulnerable families and children, in partnership with Neighbourly. Every store will donate up to 50 Easter Eggs each day from today until April 11, as the retailer looks to spread some much needed cheer during these difficult times.
