Aldi launching new McDonald's-inspired menu with 'Big Mac' and prices start from £1.49

Aldi shoppers can now get their hands on a new range of McDonald’s dupes that are less than half the price of the real deal.

The new selection includes a take on chicken nuggets, hash browns and even a Big Mac-style burger.

Prices from the range start from £1.49 for a Snacksters Big Stack Burger, which is £1.80 cheaper compared to a £3.29 Big Mac from Maccies.

A box of ten breakfast hash browns also costs £1.49 from Aldi, compared to 89p for just one hash brown from McDonald’s.

Finally, Aldi is also selling a box of 12 chicken nuggets with dips for £1.69 - which is £1.60 less than a box of nine McNuggets that come to £3.29.

Of course, just because something is cheaper, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll taste the same as a more expensive product.

But the new Aldi range could be a good substitute if you’re watching your pennies.

The discounter has received praise for its McDonald’s dupes in the past, with fans going wild for its fish burgers which they say taste just like a Fillet-O-Fish.

Two Tasty Catch Buttermilk Fish Burgers from Aldi cost £1.39 compared to £3.69 for one Fillet-O-Fish from Maccies.

Aldi shoppers have already started getting excited about the newest McDonald’s dupes on the Aldi UK Shoppers Facebook page.

One customer said: “I want these in my life.”

Another said: “Oooh can’t wait to try these!”

The Big Stack burger is available in stores now, but the chicken nuggets and hash browns aren’t expected to hit shelves until May 24.

We've asked Aldi if these are permanent products or if they're only around for a limited time and we'll update this story when we know more.

But the discounter isn't the only supermarket to sell these Maccies dupes.

Iceland also stocks the Big Stack Burger for £1.50, which is just 1p more compared to Aldi.
