Aldi launches rapid home delivery from these Nottingham stores

Shoppers in Nottingham can have their favourite Aldi products delivered to their door in as little as 30 minutes as part of a new partnership with Deliveroo.

Stores at Daleside Road, Colwick, and Mansfield Road, Daybrook, are amongst the first in the country to trial the new service, which offers local residents a selection of more than 200 products at their fingertips via the Deliveroo app.

The range of essential items, such as bread, milk and fresh produce, are delivered by Deliveroo's team of riders.

The new on-demand service is being introduced to offer customers greater flexibility and access to affordable groceries, and to support people across the country who are self-isolating due to Covid 19.

The trial has been launched at nine stores across the country, including six in the East Midlands. If successful, the rapid delivery service could roll out to further Aldi stores by the end of 2020.

Richard Thornton, Aldi UK spokesman, said: "We hope the new trial with Deliveroo will provide more customers in Nottingham with access to great quality, affordable food at Aldi.

“This is a new and exciting venture for Aldi and we will be constantly reviewing how we can best serve our customers and continue to provide them with the high quality products they are used to in store.”

Earlier this month Sainsbury's introduced a speedy new delivery scheme called Chop Chop for customers living within 3km of stores at Castle Boulevard and Perry Road.
