Aldi launch new mince pies for Christmas that contain gin and sounds delicious

The darker nights are rolling in and shops are starting to stock festive goodies which can only mean one thing, Christmas is officially on the way.

Now we still don’t know how we’ll be spending it but one thing we can guarantee, the food will be the only thing keeping us going.

And Aldi have top trumped the mince pie game with their latest launch.

Yes, the popular supermarket is ringing the bells early with the launch of its new £1.79 Specially Selected Blood Orange & Gin Mince Pies.

The new mince pies have been crafted with rich, all-butter pastry, then filled with spiced orange mincemeat and gin for a beautifully zesty, alcohol-infused eat. Yum.

Can we eat them now?

To find your nearest Aldi, we’ve popped the store locator here. You’ll also find opening and closing time information there as well.

This isn’t the only foodie launch we’re excited about as the supermarket has also unveiled new festive pre-mixed gin and tonics in a can for less than £2.

There are five new flavours to choose from, they make cute stocking fillers for those of age or, perfect to share socially distanced with friends and family.

And with Bake Off season in full swing, the grocer has also launched a KitchenAid dupe for under £150 for anyone looking to try their luck in the kitchen.

This week, bakers put their bread skills to the test, with contestants mixing, kneading, and proving in a bid to win over the judges.

It comes after a study found peanut butter is officially the number one spread in the UK, taking over former winner, jam.

But what are our favourites?

Bake Off finalist Rav Bansal this week ranked KP Nuts' crunchy peanut butter as his favourite brand.

The report also found no palm oil and no E numbers are top of the nation's concerns when it comes to buying their favourite topping.

"As the peanut experts I was expecting great things from them and the new peanut butter really delivered," he said.
