Aldi are looking for staff - and there are jobs on offer with salaries up to £77,000.

Roles at stores within commuting distance of Manchester include store managers and assistants, store management apprentices and cleaners.

Aldi claims to be one of the UK’s fastest-growing supermarket chains and now has 870 stores, with plans to have as many as 1,200 by 2025.

To apply for any of the roles you see, you'll need to visit the Aldi recruitment website here.

Here are the roles available:

Store manager

Aldi are looking for store managers in Runcorn, Crewe and Widnes.

The permanent position could earn you between £46,385 and £60,490.

The role will see you sorting out deliveries, placing orders and scheduling hours to meet productivity targets, as well as focusing on people management and performance, handling customer queries and carrying out till spot checks.

Store management apprentice

Apprentices are being sought at the city centre Arndale Aldi, as well as in Salford, Ancoats, Failsworth, Stretford, Sale, Trafford, Altrincham, Ashton-under-Lyne and Oldham.

You'll be paid by the hour at a rate between £6.24 and £9.30 on a fixed term contract.

The apprenticeship is a three-year programme that will see you earn a Level 3 Retail Team Leader qualification.

The scheme will finish with you landing a Deputy Store Manager role.

Store assistant

Aldi is looking for store assistants in Ancoats, Stretford, Sharston, Swinton, Eccles, Urmston and Trafford.

A typical wage for such a role will be between £9.40 and £10.41 an hour.

You'll do everything from checking off deliveries to dealing with enquiries or ensuring that the shelves are fully stocked with products.

You'll also be manning the tills and attending to customer needs.

Caretaker/cleaner

Jobs are available as a caretaker or cleaner in Northwich and Huddersfield.

You'll be paid £9.30 and hour and will be expected to tackle things like removing litter from the car park, washing external windows and glass doors, and making sure the trolleys are clean.

Area manager graduate scheme

Aldi also has a graduate scheme based in Bolton that could see you earn between £44,000 and £77,870 as an area manager.

The recruitment website says: "On this 12-month graduate programme, you'll gain a well-rounded view of how we do things at Aldi to become one of our talented Area Managers.

"By the end of your first year, you should be ready to take on a full Area Manager role, with all the responsibilities that entails, from motivating employees to encouraging excellent performance."

Applicants must have a 2:1 in any degree discipline, a UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK.

Applications for the scheme are open and can be submitted here.
