Aldi jobs up for grabs across Notts - here's what's on offer

Supermarket giant Aldi is recruiting for a number of jobs in Nottinghamshire as a result of its continued growth across the region.

The discount supermarket is looking for 26 new recruits, including an Assistant Store Manager, three Deputy Store Managers, 21 Store Assistants and one Stock Assistant.

New employees will work in Aldi’s Bulwell, Daleside Road and new Edwalton store, opening in October 2020.

The majority of Aldi staff now receive a minimum rate of £9.40 per hour, regardless of their age.

About the roles available:

Assistant Store Manager

Salary:  £32,345, which rises to £39,445 after four years

Job description:  For people looking to take their management experience to the next level, Aldi’s Assistant Store Managers are responsible for supporting the Store Manager in achieving store targets, whilst motivating and developing a diverse and talented team. As well as a competitive starting salary, successful applicants will enjoy four weeks annual leave, rising to five weeks, and the opportunity to progress to Store Manager.

Deputy Store Manager

Salary:  £10.40 rising to £11.41 per hour, plus an additional £4.00 per hour when managing the store

Job description:  Deputy Store Managers are expected to work closely with the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager and will have the responsibility of managing the store team in their absence. Deputy Store Manager roles start from 25 hours per week.

Store Assistant

Salary:  £9.40 per hour rising to £10.41

Job description:  Hardworking and enthusiastic candidates are also being targeted for Aldi’s Store Assistant positions, to carry out responsibilities such as accurate and efficient till operation, stock management and merchandising. Full training will be provided for Store Assistants over a six-week period and roles are available from 15 to 30 hours a week, with a realistic prospect of progression.

Stock Assistant

Salary:  £9.30 per hour

Job description:  Candidates with strong time management skills are perfect for  Aldi Stock Assistant positions, as they’re kept busy helping with inventory counting, checking off deliveries and ensuring the shelves are stocked and well presented. Full training is provided and varied hour contracts are available.
