If you love a Heck sausage and a bit of heat, you're in for a treat, as skinny chicken sausages just got a deliciously spicy upgrade.
Aldi is now selling jerk chicken chipolatas, a light, juicy and succulent sausage that's been infused with jerk seasoning and fresh jalapeno peppers for a crowd-pleasing Caribbean kick.
In true Aldi style, the unique creation also won't set you back a fortune, costing £1.89 for a pack of ten - a stark contrast to Heck's chicken Italia sausages, which might taste dreamy, but don't get you much banger for your buck at £3.15 for a 10-pack.
Having hit Aldi stores today (Thursday 1 August), the jerk chicken chipolatas are sadly only a special buy, which means there's limited stock so you'll need to head in store sooner rather than later.
Ideal for a spiced up toad in the hole, a bold bangers and mash or eaten in all their glory on top of a salad or roll, you could also transform your next full English by serving them up at breakfast with some spicy beans and paprika scrambled eggs.
The new meaty invention follows the soaring success of Aldi's katsu chicken kievs and mojito sausages, and are joined by another spicy summer addition: red Thai pork chops.
An oriental take on an original cut, they're made with 100% British pork and marinated with red Thai seasoning, and while Aldi suggest you pair them with sticky rice or noodles, we reckon they'd be just as decent as a fancy barbecue meat.
They're not too badly priced either, at £2.49 for a pack of two, and are also in stores right now, while stocks last.
