Pigs in blankets are not just for Christmas thanks to Aldi.
In time for the bank holiday weekend, this week the budget supermarket chain launched a new range of sausage kebabs perfect for enjoying on the barbecue.
Available in two varieties, the summer twists on the festive favourite include giant pigs in blanket kebabs.
The 100% British pork sausages are wrapped in Beechwood smoked cured streaky bacon, and suitably portioned into four snackable-size kebabs.
All you need to do is cook them for 22-26 minutes in the oven and finish on the barbecue for a final five minutes to give them that delicious smokey flavour.
The other pork item to get on your fork is Aldi’s sausage whirl kebabs.
Delicately seasoned and also made with 100% British pork, the swirls of sausage goodness are ready in less than half an hour.
It is advised to cook them in the oven for 14-18 minutes before transferring to a piping hot barbecue for the final five minutes.
