Aldi is selling an enormous inflatable cat for £13 just in time for summer

If you thought flamingo pool floats were a step too far, Aldi has taken it one step further, by launching a gigantic cat-shaped inflatable.

The impressive pool accessory was originally spotted on Twitter by user Sathnam, alongside the caption "Guys, I found the solution for British politics in Aldi".

Almost as divisive as Brexit is the classic dog vs cat debate, so if you aren't a fan of our feline friends, Aldi has also launched an option for dog lovers, whose shape is the face of a pug.

There's also a pug one (Aldi)

Already in the affordable supermarket's stores all across the UK, as well as available to buy online, the inflatable cat island is also a pretty decent price at £12.99.

You get a lot for your money too, with the floating cat island measuring in at 137 x 127 x 22 cm once inflated, while the pug version is slightly wider, at 163 x 119 x 20cm.

Kind of scary, kind of cute (Aldi)

If you do opt to get yours online too, do bear in mind that you'll need to pay the £2.95 delivery on top, or add something else to your order to meet the £20 free delivery cap.

After being posted on Twitter, the float has racked up a pretty hefty amount of likes and comments.

Although there's no word on what it can do for the current state of British politics, one thing's for sure: that it could cheer up your next summer holiday.

While plenty of keen cat lovers replied saying they're desperate to get their hands on it, such as Sarah who said "For our next holiday?! To accompany the lobster?", others agreed with Sathnam's sentiment, such as Simon Goldberger who said "It could almost certainly do a much better job than those currently in power".

The only question is, will it sell out quicker than Nick Clegg?
