ALDI is selling a Parma Violet cupcake kit for under £2

Parma Violets are a childhood favourite and now you can enjoy them in cupcake form.

ALDI is selling the cupcake kit for £1.99 as part of its specialbuys range.

The violet-flavoured treats have split opinion, but there's plenty of loyal fans ready to snap up the treat.

Swizzels created Parma Violets in 1946 at their factory in Derbyshire.

Thousands of excited fans shared their joy at ALDI selling the cupcake kit after it was posted on Money Saver Online's Facebook page.

One mum said her kids made the cakes and they were 'gorgeous', while another said they smell amazing when baked.
