Aldi is selling a nifty spider catcher ahead of 'spider season'

If you're afraid of creepy crawlies, then you'll want to snap up Aldi's latest deal.

The budget supermarket chain has started selling a handheld spider catcher with a 68cm long plastic handle, so there's no need to go anywhere near any spiders with your hands.

The Zero In Spider Catcher is available for £7.99 in store and has been released just in time for 'spider season' - when houses become infested with the eight-legged arachnids throughout September.

As reported by our sister title Birmingham Live, the plastic rod also allows users to access corners of their house they couldn’t otherwise reach.

The device’s soft bristles are equally as handy. They provide users with the ability to sweep up creepy crawlies – including spiders, moths and daddy long-legs – without causing them any harm.

Once shoppers have caught the insects, they can release them outside.

There's only one review online so far, but it's got the five star treatment, with the customer saying: "Does work. Been a 'lifesaver' for my husband, when I've not been home."
