Aldi is offering its customers the opportunity to sample its wine for free in exchange for reviews shared on Twitter.

Every three months, the supermarket offers budding wine connoisseurs the chance to test its wine as part of its Wine Club.

Reviews of the free wine, alongside the hashtag "#AldiWineClub", are expected on a monthly basis.

"Being part of the panel means that you'll be the first to hear about our award-winning wines, and we'll send you three delicious bottles from our range over a six-week period," Aldi states in its Wine Club announcement.

In addition to the bottles of vino, the 30 chosen testers are provided with tips on how to assess the aroma and body of the wine.

Several oenophiles expressed their excitement of the prospect of being chosen for the scheme.

"Just applied to be on @AldiUK wine panel, one can pray for wine goodness," one person tweeted.

"#AldiWineClub I'm coming. Your Spanish wines are a staple in my house," another remarked.

Applications to become a taster for Aldi's Wine Club close on Monday 3 June.

In order to apply, email wineclub@aldi.co.uk with your name, your Twitter handle, proof of your age and a maximum of 150 words outlining why you think you should be selected.

Always drink responsibly. For more information, visit drinkaware.co.uk.
