Aldi is now selling two-packs of coronavirus face masks for £5

Supermarket Aldi has started selling reusable coronavirus face masks for a fiver.

The protective equipment went on sale in stores at the end of last week and is already sold out online.

With face coverings are set to become compulsory on public transport from June 15, Aldi's two-pack gives shoppers the perfect chance to stock up.

The white cotton masks come in one size that's big enough to cover the mouth and nose.

The closing date to apply is May 11 (Aldi)

Each face covering features elastane straps that can be hooked around the ears for a secure fit.

According to Aldi's website, they are designed for those “looking for that extra peace of mind during unprecedented times.”

The description also adds: “This is a general use face covering. It’s not a medical device or personal protective equipment. It is not intended for use in healthcare settings.”

The masks are double-layered for extra protection and are also machine washable at 95°C.

Priced at £4.99 for two, so you'll be paying just under £2.50.

As they are already sold out on aldi.co.uk, you'll need to head down to your local Aldi store to buy them.

You can find out your nearest Aldi and its opening times by checking the online store finder.

Meanwhile, Wowcher has some great offers on face masks for both kids and adults - here's what you can buy.
