Aldi is looking for children to be toy testers and will give them a year's supply of toys

Supermarket Aldi has confirmed it is on the hunt for children to join its official 'toy testing panel'.

The children chosen will even be given a year's supply of toys for them to review which they will be able to keep.

The toys to be reviewed include a selection of products available on the retailer’s Online Toy Store, such as ride-on cars, science kits and a box of magic tricks.

According to Aldi successful applicants must have a love of play, know the latest toy trends and be comfortable presenting their views on camera.

For a chance to become part of the panel, parents of testers can apply by uploading a 30-second video review of their little one’s favourite toy.

Aldi’s Toy Team will judge all entries and the 10 winners’ videos will be uploaded to Aldi’s website, as well as on Mumsnet.

Julie Ashfield, managing director of Buying at Aldi UK, said: “At Aldi we’re always looking for new ways to ensure our toys stay ahead of the game.

"With over 349 toys available at our online Toy Shop it’s easy to imagine just how much testing goes on behind the scenes.

"This is a great opportunity for children to continue doing what they do best – playing with toys! We hope parents and children have fun with their applications and look forward to receiving the entries.”

Applications will close on December 23 and children must be under 13 to apply.
