Aldi is launching marshmallow unicorn gin - just in time for the bank holiday

Aldi is about to make all of our pink gin dreams come true.

The budget supermarket chain is releasing a mystical unicorn gin liqueur at the end of the week - and it looks wonderful.

The pink drink is ideal for those among us with a sweet tooth as it's said to taste like marshmallows and candy floss.

And it gets better - a quick shake of the bottle will reveal that the drink shimmers and sparkles, making it an absolutely magical drinking experience.

Made by The Infusionist Small Batch, the gin liqueur will cost you £9.99 for a 50cl bottle.

Bottles will be landing on shelves and online on Thursday, August 22 - just ahead of the upcoming bank holiday weekend.

And this isn't the only new tipple you'll be able to buy in Aldi this week - the store is also adding 10 other new spirits to its alcohol selection - including a Tutti Frutti gin liqueur, Passionfruit, Apricot and Coconut Gin, Strawberry and Cream Liqueur and Spiced Rhubarb Rum Liqueur.

They're also going to be selling 10 other new beverages - including a Tutti Frutti gin liqueur

The is especially interesting as it's made by Didsbury Gin with MasterChef winner Simon Wood.

The alcoholic beverage has an incredible sweet yet fruity flavour, making it perfect for summer cocktails - and at only £13.99 a bottle it's affordable too.

It will make the perfect twist on a classic gin and tonic served with a generous slice of pink grapefruit and a twist of orange.

Or shoppers can go all out and create a delicious spritz by mixing the gin with Aldi’s bestselling Organic Prosecco (£7.99) and fresh grapefruit juice.

Speaking about the new launch, Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, said "As flavoured gin shows no signs of slowing down, we’re thrilled to be partnering with Didsbury Gin to bring shoppers more unique flavour combinations like Simon Wood’s MasterChef winning dessert, Tutti Frutti.

"This innovative new addition to our gin range reflects our commitment to ensuring our customers enjoy the best quality products, without breaking the bank."
