Aldi is launching a spider catcher so you can remove them at arm's length

Ugh, September... Summer is over, everyone's going back to school and it’s officially spider season.

But thankfully Aldi have a cure for at least one of those pressing issues, with the bargain supermarket having just started selling long distance spider catchers.

Made with a 68cm long plastic rod, you can either stand a good two feet away from spiders as you catch them, or reach up to tricky high ceilings without any dangerous chair balancing.

Its super soft brush at the end of a long, plastic arm saves you from creepy crawlies without harming the beast themselves.

According to Alid, the  handy catcher can also be used to contain moths, butterflies and daddy long legs.

Available online at Aldi already, the catcher costs £7.99 , although you will need to pay a delivery charge unless you spend over £20.

However, at Amazon we found what looks like exactly the same one just in a different colour for even cheaper (plus free delivery), setting you back just £5.99 in total.

And it boasts some very impressive reviews, with 73% of customers rating it five stars.

Some of the top reviews include shoppers saying "This product is very good for catching spiders in your home and putting them back outside without killing them" and "This product is awesome - now i don't have to climb up on anything to get then out of my house".

Perfect timing really, considering that spider season is upon us, and all that horrific torrential rain is apparently causing spiders to retreat inside homes for warmth and shelter.
