Aldi is launching a CUSTARD hot cross bun - and you'll either love it or hate it

Aldi has announced it's got five new hot cross buns launching this month - including one filled with rhubarb and custard.

The new bun will be filled with little pockets of custard, so when you toast it, the creamy goodness melts inside.

Instead of raisins or chocolate chips, it'll also have small pieces of rhubarb thrown in for a little crunch.

The new buns hit stores on 7 March - and will set you back £1.09 for a pack of four.

Meanwhile, the grocer's also got a quirky blueberry version joining the range on Sunday too - which it says will replicate the flavour of a blueberry muffin.

Waitrose is launching a hot cross bun flavoured cheese for Easter

Elsewhere, for those who fancy something a little naughty, Aldi's Specially Selected Salted Caramel & Belgian Chocolate hot cross buns are also landing this weekend - and are coated in Belgian chocolate.

Those who prefer something more classic will also be able to pick up its luxury fruited hot cross buns for 99p (pack of four) from Sunday.
