Aldi is doubling the number of stores offering its on-demand home delivery service in partnership with Deliveroo.
This means that over 1.5 million Irish shoppers will be able to avail of the service in the run-up to Christmas.
Shoppers across the whole of Dublin, Cork City, Galway City and Limerick City can now benefit from on-demand delivery.
The service was initially available from two Dublin stores in June but it has since expanded into a further four counties following a positive customer response.
Originally, Aldi offered around 140 essential items through the service but this list of products grew in September.
Customers can order more than 350 products through the on-demand home delivery service and groceries will be delivered in as little as 30 minutes.
In terms of what's ordered, the top five items purchased through the app are orange juice, fresh milk, mushrooms, peppers and chicken breasts.
Elsewhere, a variety of everyday items are also available to order through the app, including cooking and cleaning products, as well as other essential items, like nappies.
Commenting on the expansion of its delivery service, Niall O’Connor, Aldi Group Managing Director, said: “1.5 million Irish shoppers can now benefit from our Deliveroo partnership, having our amazing quality groceries delivered directly to their door in as little as 30 minutes.
