Aldi in St Johns puts limit on number of customers allowed in store

Aldi in St John’s Market is limiting the number of people it will allow in its store in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.

The supermarket, based in St John’s Market, has put a sign up on its doors stating the maximum capacity of customers allowed in store will be capped at 178 people.

In the print out, the statement reads: “Dear customers,

“Please be advised that for the foreseeable future this store will be operating with a maximum capacity of 178 customers at any one time.

“Once we have reached this number you will kindly be asked to wait to enter the store until another customer has left.

“Thank you for your co-operation at this time.”

The news was also shared on Twitter:

The shop joins the latest in a line of stores which have implemented drastic changes since the outbreak of the deadly coronavirus.

In Liverpool ONE, Urban Outfitters, Apple and Hollister have shut up shop to protect staff and members of the public during the outbreak, while Disney stores across the country have also closed.
