Aldi hiring 60 people in Bristol with salaries of up to £47,000

Looking for a new job? Out of work, stuck in a rut in your current role, or just fancying a change?

Luckily for you, there seem to be a fair few jobs going right now, and the supermarket chain Aldi has just announced it is to hire another 60 people across Bristol before Christmas - including some who'll earn salaries of £47,000 per year.

The jobs include apprenticeships and part-time store assistant and caretaker roles, but they range up to store manager, too. Its Bedminster, Southmead, and Fishponds shops are all among those with vacancies at present.

Store assistants will earn "up to" £10.57 per hour, the company says, and breaks are paid. For comparison, the Living Wage Foundation says an average UK resident would need to earn at least £9.50 per hour to live.

Kelly Stokes, Aldi's recruitment director, said: “As we continue to grow, we’re looking for ambitious and hard-working individuals to join our team at stores across Bristol.

“There’s something here for everyone, from new starters looking to take their first step on the career ladder to more experienced team managers seeking a new challenge.

"Our amazing colleagues are central to everything we do at Aldi and remain one of the key factors in our success. We’re looking forward to welcoming our new recruits to the team.”

On Glassdoor, the website where employees rate their employers, Aldi has an average score of 3.5/5.

People interested in a job at Aldi are encouraged to apply on the retailer's careers website.
