Aldi has recalled these pots of houmous because they 'do not meet our high quality standards'

Aldi has recalled some of tubs of houmous from its shelves 'due to it not meeting our high quality standards'.

The recall affects triple packs of reduced fat classic houmous and selection houmous.

But it only covers the products with a use by date of either November 2 and November 3.

Customers who have bought the dips are being advised to return them to the store where they will be given a full refund.

In a message on Facebook the store said: "IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT - PRODUCT RECALL.

"We have recalled this product due to it not meeting our high quality standards.

"Customers should return the product to their nearest store where they will receive a full refund.

"We apologise for any inconvenience and thank you for your co-operation."
