It’s no secret that supermarkets are stretched to the absolute maximum at the moment.
Shelves are bare, shoppers are queuing around the block, and, in some cases, people are struggling to get the bare necessities.
As a result, supermarkets across the country have altered their opening hours and stockpiling rules to ensure they are providing the best possible service for all shoppers.
Aldi is no exception, and has now implemented four new rules for anybody wishing to shop at the supermarket.
Writing on Facebook, Aldi urged shoppers to follow these four guidelines:
"At a time like this, we need to work together. We’re doing all we can to make sure communities have what they need, but we need your help too – here’s how…"
It then listed four key rules:

Please be mindful of social distance and give space to our teams when completing your transaction

Where possible please use contactless or card payments

Buy only what you need - our stores are being replenished every day

Wash your hands often and avoid contact with eyes, nose and mouth
Shoppers have been impressed with the new guidelines, with many praising Aldi’s balanced approach.
Responding to the post, one shopper said: “Big round of applause for all shop/supermarket staff. They are doing a brilliant job! “
“You're all doing an amazing job. . Keep safe…” said another.
A third added: “Aldi you have been on top throughout this 'thing' that we face. Working so hard to replenishing shelves to donating to Ageuk and everything I'm between! Humanity in action.”
