Aldi cuts price of store again in bid to sell supermarket site

Aldi has reduced the price of a supermarket site again in a bid to sell.

Earlier this year the German discounter placed its Rhyl supermarket site up for sale as it pushed on with building a larger store on the nearby Marina Quay development.

It was put on the market for £1.5m although included a restrictive covenant against it remaining a food store to prevent a rival like Lidl snapping it up

But so far it has failed to sell, which saw an initial £200,000 taken off the asking price in the spring.

Now this has been reduced further as the chain renowned for competitive pricing attempts to secure a sale.

It is now on the market for £1.25m.

The site is now empty after Aldi made their move to the nearby retail development over the summer.
