Aldi customers are being urged to check their bank accounts for any transactions they have been overcharged for.
A technical glitch has meant that several shoppers have been overcharged, sometimes by hundreds of pounds, for transactions made earlier this year.
The glitch was first spotted at a store in Rhyl, North Wales, and was flagged by a series of signs near the store's tills.
The signs read: "A technical error meant that Mastercard and VISA payments made by customers in this store were not processed between August 15 and September 22.
"If you shopped here during this period and paid on card you will see the transaction complete and appear on your bank statement from Thursday, October 3."
Many shoppers were left out of pocket by the glitch, with one claiming to have had £782 taken out of her account after she made purchases in the store on two seperate occasions in a seven day period.
Aldi is urging anyone affected by overdraft charges as a result of the error to contact the company.
No other stores have reported errors, but if you shopped in Aldi in the same period you are advised to double check your account just to be on the safe side.
